Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year at Marlboro Elementary School, Home of the K.I.N.D. Kids (Kids Involved in Nice Deeds), where kids care to learn and learn to care.
Our school mission to promote strong academics, positive student discipline rooted in a school wide citizenship program, and purposeful home and school communication is expressed through the conscientious work of our students and teachers and support from home. Our fifth graders under the guidance of our specials teachers participate in the Marlboro Elementary School Color Guard. Weather permitting, students raise and lower the American Flag every day and lead us school-wide in the Pledge of Allegiance on Wednesdays. And, our Fifth Grade Safety Patrol assists us upon arrival and dismissal times.
We look forward to our PTO Family Fun Night and PTO Book Fair in February. Some grade level Math Olympics days are also scheduled this month. February's Manner of the Month is Compliments Count: Inside and Out. Our Words of the Week are trustworthy, honest, loyal, and reliable. Celebrated Composers and Musicians with February birthdays include Stan Getz - 2/2/1927, Felix Mendelssohn - 2/3/1809, George Frideric Handel - 2/23/1685 and Gioacchino Rossini - 2/29/1792.
